Chapter 10 – I am hungry

Grammar point: conjugation of the verb tener.

After boarding, Violeta (the manager) makes a toast with the passengers. Everybody holds a glass of champagne. And Nilton has a hard time adapting to the schedules on the train.

Violeta:          ¡Salud! Bienvenidos al tren Kuntur.
Pasajeros:     ¡Salud! Cheers! Prost!
Nilton:            Psst…sr José.
Pepe:             ¿Qué pasa Nilton?
Nilton:            Tengo mucha hambre.
Pepe:             ¿Muchos hombres?
Nilton:            No muchos hombres sr José, ¡Hambre! ¡Hambre!…tengo mucha hambre.
Pepe:             ¡Chsss! El desayuno es a las 9am para el personal.
Nilton:            ¡A las 9am! Son las 8am, tengo que comer.
Pepe:             ¡Chsss! Silencio.
